Submission Guidelines

Papers can discuss either mature research projects, case studies/demos of new systems or work in progress. Submitted papers must be neither previously published nor under review by another workshop, conference or journal. Only electronic submissions in PDF will be accepted.
Submitted PDF should be formatted according to the standard double-column ACM SIG proceedings guidelines, otherwise it can not be accepted or included in the ACM Digital Library. Additional information about formatting and style files are available online . A summary is provided below.

We accept two types of submissions:

  • Long papers (8-10 pages; title, abstract, main text, figure(s), table(s), legend(s), references included)
  • Short papers (max 4 pages; title, abstract, main text, figure(s), table(s), legend(s), references included)

Authors: For all authors, provide their firstname and name, as well as their affiliation(s) and email address. Authors’ contribution is not necessary.

Abstract: The abstract should concisely summaries the research background, the aim(s) and methods of the study, and the results.

Main Text: The structure of the main text is flexible. You might chose to follow classical outlines: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, or not, depending on you research area. Section and subsection should be numbered: e.g. 1 Section, 1.1 Subsection...

Figures & Tables: Submitted figures should be directly included in the manuscript, at the place where they should appear, with the legend below. They should be clear and having a good quality . Refer to figures as “Figure 1”, “Figure 2”, etc… Tables should be inserted directly where they should appear, with the legend above the table. Refer to tables as “Table 1”, “Table 2”,etc …

Formulas and equations: Formulas should be inserted directly in the text, and be numbered in the order of apparition. Refer to any formula/equation as “Equation 1”, “Equation 2”,…

Acknowledgements: Acknowledgements - if any- should be inserted prior to references.

Ethical Statement: For studies involving animals, an ethical statement should be mentioned either separately in a specific section (Ethical Statement) or in the main text. If possible, the agency that authorised the study, as well as the permit number, must be given.

References: The references should be following the ACM reference format (see https://www.acm.org/publications/authors/reference-formatting ).

All submitted papers will be peer reviewed. At least one of the authors of each paper accepted for presentation in HANIMOB 2022 must register for both the main SIGSPATIAL conference and the workshop and to present the accepted paper in the workshop. All papers presented at the workshop will be included in the ACM Digital Library.
